The room was massive with a super king bed that was incredibly comfortable.
The building felt a bit old-fashioned, needing some modern updates.

I had a pleasant night here, enjoying the pool and a comfy bed that knocked me out immediately! There were nice amenities like a hot shower and free breakfast across the street, which was a lovely treat with delicious chocolate croissants. The shower pressure was a bit weak, but it didn't ruin my experience at all. I'd suggest getting there early for breakfast to avoid the rush! 😊

would like to stay longer
The room had a private bathroom with fluffy towels and tea/coffee maker. I loved the breakfast, especially the fresh pastries and variety of organic juices. It's only a short walk from the city center and train station, making it super convenient. Creaky floors added to the charm of the historic atmosphere.

Charming, charming, charming
The hotel had such a unique historical charm with its 1800s architecture, absolutely making you feel like you’ve stepped back in time! Not only was it super convenient being just 100 yards from the train station, but the buffet breakfast offered a delightful spread of both hot and cold options that I couldn't get enough of! The location is definitely a plus, being close to Chester Train Station. It made getting around quite easy, especially for visiting attractions like Chester Zoo. The staff were friendly, and that made me feel a bit more welcome despite the issues I encountered. the room was in need of serious refurbishment. The carpets were stained and the furniture looked tired. The bathroom had several leaks and the shower didn't work properly. It was hard to enjoy the stay with constant noises from the hallway and other rooms. I wanted to like this hotel, but the upkeep and overall comfort simply weren't satisfactory.

We just spent a night here and it was pretty nice! Our room was super comfy and the staff were all really friendly. The breakfast at the sister hotel was delicious, especially with that bucks fizz! Only thing was the bar area could use a bit more vibe, felt kinda quiet. a solid experience!
